The Adventures of Thandie the Tandem books were written using the advice of primary school teachers so that they fit into the Key Stage 1 and 2 currricula. We have included as many of the Year 3 and 4 spellings as possible as well as the writing targets. Timmy and Thandie’s travels should provoke ideas for discussion on diversity fitting in with British Values such as ‘mutual respect and tolerance for different faiths and religions’.

A powerpoint with detailed lesson ideas (based on book 1) is available for download below; this is ideal for English and Literacy lessons but also Citizenship and PSHE lessons.
